The JUKI DDW-II model was equipped with the successful development of a single-axis rotary mechanism, which was considered as impossible mechanism at the time. After that Japanese sewing machine technology got recognized all over the world. The existing model DDW-12 is a direct successor to this model, and was acclaimed as an important example of the high level of Japanese sewing machine technology.

HA-1 household sewing machine - A symbol model of new start after war at sewing machine industry –

◆ Reason for selection:

After the war, in 1947, domestic sewing machine manufacturing companies cooperated and compiled the ``HA1 model sewing machine standard drawings'' under the Sewing Machine Industry Association, and each company manufactured the HA-1 model based on the drawings. This greatly contributed to the performance, quality, and mass production of Japanese sewing machines. The selected machine was manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (currently JUKI Techno Solutions Corporation), which had been manufacturing sewing machines since before the war, and the instructions from that time have also been preserved. It was evaluated as an important example of the restart of the sewing machine manufacturing industry after the war.
